I only wish I had a net worth of $150 million and was the CEO of my own label like Jay-Z, but I’m only a mere college freshmen with a knack for all things eclectic and an interest for all things entertainment. I like the thrill of watching a movie; experiencing things I could only dream of in real life, as the characters live it for me. I like the escape music provides; listening to sounds of diverse cultures through scintillating beats. I like fashion; the range of trendy, over the top clothes you’d never catch anyone on the street wearing is crazayy. I like TV too. I’ll always try to make time to watch my favorite prime time shows. So this blog will mainly center on, well entertainment. Any aspect in the entertainment field like; music, the arts, shows, video clips, articles, and media that I find interests me, I’ll blog about it. I wish to show people the necessity of entertainment. Seriously, without it, this world would be “totally B-o-r-ing.” Moreover, I just want to bring people up to date with the latest releases or just random cool stuff that’s coming out. Maybe I’ll throw in a few history related stuff, too. I don’t know what I might do, that’s why I picked such a topic; it’s so broad, many things can be related to it.
Ok so you may have noticed the title of the blog: Diversion of Attention. I’m not looking to change your views on the world, I mean if I accidentally inspire you to do something, then more power to ya! And I don’t want to bore you…well I hope I don’t bore you. I basically want to divert your attention…sounds evil, I know. But that’s pretty much what entertainment is. Say, you’re doing hmk on the computer, and all of a sudden you go on Youtube (first mistake) and hear a really cool song…one song leads to another and before you know it, its 1 am and you haven’t finished your hmk. It diverted your attention. It’s a love /hate relationship with entertainment. Some news may be too stupid for your liking; others might just turn you into an obsessed freak. But whatever the source, entertainment is all around us. Yes, it’s distracting, but it’s also something we can’t live without…well I know I can’t.
